Carousel Studio

Carousels for Instagram and other social networks in Clipia — slide plan and copy from a topic, formats, styles, palettes, layouts, editor, export and pricing.

Carousel Studio builds a multi-slide post for Instagram and other social networks. You set the topic and the audience; the studio writes a slide plan and copy, lays the slides out in the style you choose, and lets you adjust everything by hand. Finished slides are exported as PNG or JPG.

Carousels are made on the Carousel tab of Image Studio — /create-image/ai-carousel-generator. In the interface it's called Instagram carousel.

The studio is in beta

Carousel Studio is opening gradually, together with Image Studio. If it doesn't open for you yet, check back later.

Fill in the content

On the Content tab, write a topic or paste source text (up to 6,000 characters) with the main ideas and facts. In Audience, describe who it's for (up to 300 characters), for example "coffee lovers". Choose the number of slides: 4 to 12.

Set up the brand

On the Brand tab, choose the style, palette, font and heading size. Add a brand name (up to 60 characters), a logo and a visual reference.

Choose a slide format

For example, Feed at 1080 × 1350 for the Instagram feed or Story at 1080 × 1920. All formats are listed in the table below.

The studio plans the content: the slide outline and copy. No credits are charged for this step.

Add illustrations if you need them

Illustrations are a separate paid step. Describe the illustration, press Get price, check the amount in the Create illustration? window and press Create for N credits.

Edit and export

Adjust the copy, slide order and block placement, then open Export and download the slides.

To get to know the editor, press Open sample: you can edit the sample without signing in. To create and save your own carousels, sign in.

Slide layouts

Each slide uses one of these layouts:

  • Cover — the first slide with the main headline.
  • Statement — one idea, set large.
  • Comparison — two or more items side by side.
  • Steps — a sequence of actions.
  • Number — a large figure or fact.
  • Quote — a highlighted quote.
  • Closing — the final slide with a takeaway or call to action.

Structure rules: the first slide is always Cover and the last is always Closing. In between there are at least two different layouts, and Comparison and Steps need at least 2 items each.

Editor

  • Actions can be undone and redone.
  • Reorder slides by dragging them or with the reorder buttons.
  • Move text blocks with the arrow keys by 1 px, or by 10 px while holding Shift.
  • You can zoom the canvas.
  • Text and layouts stay editable after illustrations are added.

You can upload your own images, logo and reference as JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, AVIF, SVG, BMP, TIFF, GIF and more, up to 10 MB. Large images are scaled down to 2048 px on the long side, and HEIC is converted right in the browser.

Saving and export

The draft is saved automatically in this browser. To open the carousel on another device, press Save project: it's stored in your account, and My projects lists the 20 most recent.

If the project was changed on another device, the studio warns you. Your edits stay local: you can load the server version or save a separate copy.

Tips

  • Describe the topic in detail: list the main ideas and facts, and the slide copy will be more precise.
  • State the audience: it shapes the tone and the examples.
  • Use Feed (4:5) for the Instagram feed and Story (9:16) for stories.
  • Get the copy and slide order right first and add illustrations last: content doesn't use credits, illustrations are paid.
  • Save the project to your account or as JSON if you work across devices.
