1. Who you are buying from
Clipia.ai (the "Service") is an online platform that lets you generate images, video, speech, music and other digital content using artificial intelligence models. The Service is delivered remotely at clipia.ai.
Two distinct parties are involved in an international purchase, and it matters which one you are dealing with:
| Role | Party | Responsible for |
|---|---|---|
| Provider of the service | Clipia LLC (State of Wyoming, USA) | Operating the platform, delivering generations, account and credit balance, product support |
| Merchant of record | Stripe, through its Managed Payments service | Selling the order to you, processing the payment, calculating and remitting applicable taxes, issuing the receipt, handling chargebacks and transaction-level support |
What this means in practice. Stripe is the seller of record for your transaction. Your card or bank statement will show a descriptor containing CLIPIA, and your receipt is issued by Stripe. Clipia LLC remains the provider of the service itself and of the Terms of Service that govern your use of the platform.
| Legal name | Clipia LLC |

A note on the phone number. The Service operates in a remote, written-only mode and communicates with customers by email. Billing questions are answered at billing@clipia.ai, typically within one business day.
Customers in Russia. Payments in Russian roubles are sold and processed by a separate Russian entity under a separate agreement, and the terms on this page do not apply to them. The Russian-language version of this document at clipia.ai/ru/payment-infogoverns those purchases.
2. Account and order flow
To place an order you must first create an account at clipia.ai/signup. Creating an account does not require a payment.
At registration you provide:
- an email address (used as your login and as the communication channel);
- a password (never shared with third parties, stored as a cryptographic hash);
- a display name (optional).
Alternative sign-in methods: Google account (OAuth 2.0).
After signing up you confirm your email address with a 6-digit code. Email verification is required before any payment, and the receipt is issued to the verified address on your account.
When you subscribe or buy credits you additionally accept the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, and — for subscriptions — you explicitly consent to recurring charges.
3. What you are buying
The Service provides access to software that generates digital content with AI models. The service is rendered at the moment credits are consumed from your balance and the result is delivered to your account.
3.1 Types of services
- Image generation from text or reference images;
- Video generation from text, an image, or a combination;
- Image and video editing with AI editing models;
- Speech and music generation;
- AI assistant — a chat model for prompt and idea help;
- Developer access — REST API and a remote MCP server;
- other features described in the AI model catalog.
3.2 What a "credit" is
A credit is an internal accounting unit that measures the amount of compute consumed. Each generation has a fixed credit price that is shown before you press "Generate". Credits are not electronic money, are not a stored-value instrument accepted by anyone other than the Service, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Their monetary treatment for refund purposes is set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
4. Plans and prices
International prices are quoted and charged in US dollars (USD). Four subscription tiers are available, monthly or annual. The live pricelist is published at /tariffsand prevails over the summary below.
| Plan | USD / month | USD / year | Credits per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $15 | $159 | 240 |
| Standard | $29 | $309 | 480 |
| Pro | $49 | $529 | 960 |
| Ultima | $149 | $1,599 | 2,900 |
One-time credit packs are also available at /tokens, from 100 credits for $5 up to 20,000 credits for $1,020. Pack credits are added to your balance and do not expire.
Expiring versus non-expiring credits. Credits included in a subscription are granted for the paid period and reset when the next period begins. Credits bought as a one-time pack do not expire while your account is active.
5. Payment methods and checkout
5.1 How checkout works
- Selection. You choose a plan at /tariffs or a credit pack at /tokens and click the payment button.
- Redirect to Stripe Checkout. A secure hosted payment page opens. The page is operated by Stripe; Clipia never sees your card number, expiry date, CVC or other sensitive details.
- Order summary. Before paying you see the product name, the price, any applicable tax, the total, and — for subscriptions — the renewal terms.
- Authentication. Where your bank requires it, the payment is authenticated with 3-D Secure 2 (a one-time code or biometric confirmation in your banking app). This is a mandatory step for most cards issued in the EEA and the UK.
- Confirmation. On approval, the credits land on your balance within seconds and Stripe emails you a receipt. If the confirmation is delayed, the payment is still applied once Stripe confirms it — you do not need to pay again.
- If the payment fails. The reason is shown by your bank (insufficient funds, a limit, or a risk check). Nothing is charged, and you can retry or use another method.
5.2 Accepted means of payment
The methods offered at checkout depend on your country and are determined by Stripe. They normally include major international payment cards and, where available, digital wallets and Link. The exact list is shown on the Stripe Checkout page before you enter any details.
5.3 Where purchases are not available
Purchases through this channel are blocked from a number of jurisdictions because of sanctions and payment-network restrictions. If checkout is unavailable in your country, no payment is attempted and no data is submitted to the payment page.
6. Taxes
As merchant of record, Stripe determines, collects and remitsany indirect taxes due on your purchase — value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), or US sales tax — based on the country and, where relevant, the region you are buying from.
- Prices shown on /tariffs and /tokens are exclusive of tax. Any tax due is calculated and displayed separately at checkout, before you pay.
- The total charged to your card is the price plus the tax shown at checkout.
- The tax receipt or invoice is issued by Stripe as the seller of record. Business customers who need a tax identification number recorded on the invoice can enter it at checkout where their country supports it.
7. Subscription renewal and cancellation
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each paid period until you cancel. The card used for the original payment is charged.
- A reminder is emailed before an annual renewal.
- You can cancel auto-renewal at any time in the Balance & Subscription section of your account. Access and the remaining credits of the current period stay available until that period ends; no further charge is made.
- Cancelling is not, by itself, a request to refund an amount already charged — see section 8.
- If a renewal payment fails, we retry it over a short window and notify you by email. If it still fails, the subscription is not renewed and the account moves to the plan without a paid subscription.
8. Refunds
The grounds, the procedure and the deadlines are set out in full in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms. In outline:
- a generation that was charged but not delivered because of a failure on our side is compensated in credits, or refunded on request;
- a subscription charge is refunded in full within 3 days of the charge, provided none of the new period's expiring credits have been consumed;
- an erroneous or unauthorised charge is refunded in full after verification;
- subjective dissatisfaction with the artistic result of a model that operated correctly is not a ground for a refund, given the probabilistic nature of AI generation (section 5A of the Terms of Service).
Send refund requests to billing@clipia.ai with your account email, the payment date and amount, and the reason. Because Stripe is the merchant of record, the refund is executed by Stripe back to the original payment method; refunds to a different card or another method are not permitted by payment-network rules.
If you do not recognise a charge, contact billing@clipia.ai first — a direct refund is usually faster than a chargeback. You also retain the right to dispute the charge with your bank; we and Stripe cooperate with chargeback investigations.
9. Payment security
9.1 Card data
- The Service never stores or processes card details. The card number, expiry date, CVC and cardholder name are entered only on the Stripe-hosted page and are never transmitted to Clipia. Only an anonymous customer identifier is stored on our side, which is enough to renew a subscription but cannot be reversed into a card number.
- PCI DSS. Stripe is certified at PCI DSS Level 1, the highest tier of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
9.2 Channel protection
- all traffic between your browser, Clipia.ai and Stripe runs over HTTPS with TLS 1.2/1.3;
- the TLS certificate is issued by a public certificate authority and validated by your browser before any data is sent;
- HSTS is enforced, so the browser always uses HTTPS for the domain.
9.3 Account protection
- passwords are stored as cryptographic hashes (bcrypt with a unique salt);
- billing operations require an authenticated session (httpOnly cookies with CSRF protection);
- every transaction is emailed to you and recorded in the "Payments & subscriptions" log in your account.
9.4 Guidance
- never share your account password, card CVC or one-time confirmation codes;
- if you suspect your card has been compromised, contact your issuing bank immediately and email security@clipia.ai;
- review the active sessions in your account periodically.
10. Delivery of the service
There is no physical delivery. The output of a generation (image, video, audio, text) is a digital file that appears in your account on the My works page as soon as processing finishes, and can be downloaded to any device.
- Time to deliver: from a few seconds to 30 minutes, depending on the model, the parameters and current load.
- Method: the result appears in your account; optionally a notification is sent by email or Telegram.
- Retention: files are stored under the terms of your plan, and in any case for no less than 30 days from generation.
- Download: the result is downloaded in its original format via the "Download" button on the work card.
11. Warranties
11.1 What we warrant
- Availability on a best-effort basis, targeting at least 99 % per calendar month, excluding scheduled maintenance and force majeure;
- Integrity of your credit balance and transaction history, stored in protected databases with regular backups;
- Privacy as set out in the Privacy Policy;
- Price transparency: the credit cost is shown before each generation, and the monetary total including tax is shown before each payment;
- Refunds in the cases listed in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
11.2 What we do not warrant
Because AI models are probabilistic, the Service does not warrant:
- that a specific generation will match your subjective expectations;
- exact reproduction of real people, recognisable brands, or other subjects protected by third-party rights;
- fitness of a result for a particular commercial purpose — that assessment is yours, subject to the Content License.
11.3 Liability
Liability is allocated under section 8 of the Terms of Service, which is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States. Nothing in this document limits any mandatory consumer right available to you under the law of your country of residence that cannot be waived by agreement.
