Clipia checks requests before generating and doesn't create content that the acceptable use policy prohibits. Everything you create is yours, and the scope of commercial rights depends on your plan. This page is a short summary; the legally binding texts are the full [acceptable use policy](/en/acceptable-use) and the [content license](/en/content-license).

## What you can't generate

You may not create or upload:

- pornography and sexually explicit scenes;
- extreme violence and gore;
- content that infringes third-party rights — copyright, trademarks, likeness;
- hate speech and discrimination;
- content that encourages self-harm;
- instructions for causing harm;
- deepfakes of real people without their consent;
- disinformation presented as real events.

<Callout type="error" title="Zero tolerance">
Sexual content involving minors, sexual violence, terrorism and extremism, and bestiality lead to an immediate account ban with no right of appeal.
</Callout>

Allowed with restrictions:

- **artistic nudity** without sexual context;
- **images of real people** — only with the written consent of the person, who must be an adult; keep the consent for 3 years.

It is also prohibited to bypass moderation filters or create multiple accounts to get around restrictions.

## How moderation works

<Steps>
<Step>
### Check before launch

Your prompt is checked before generation. Models don't create explicit scenes, violence or images of real celebrities.
</Step>

<Step>
### Rejection with no charge

If the request fails the check, the generation doesn't start and no credits are charged. You'll see a message that the request was rejected by moderation and credits weren't charged, with a suggestion to try another model or rephrase.
</Step>

<Step>
### Result check

If the model refuses mid-way, or the finished result fails the safety check, your credits are returned automatically.
</Step>
</Steps>

For more on credit refunds, see [Credits and plans](/en/docs/product/credits#how-the-price-is-quoted-and-charged).

## Repeat violations

If violations repeat, the restrictions escalate: from temporary limits on generation up to an account ban. The procedure is described in the [acceptable use policy](/en/acceptable-use).

You can appeal a decision by emailing appeals@clipia.ai within 30 days. Appeals are reviewed within 14 business days. Zero-tolerance violations can't be appealed.

If you come across someone else's work that breaks the rules, click "Report" on its page or email abuse@clipia.ai. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

## Usage rights

Clipia claims no rights to the content you create. What you're allowed to do with it depends on your plan.

| Plan | Allowed | Not allowed |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Basic | Personal, non-commercial use: personal social media without monetization, portfolio, education | Advertising, selling |
| Standard | Plus commercial social media, blogs, advertising, websites, presentations | Client work, resale, NFTs |
| Pro | Plus client work, monetization (YouTube, Boosty and similar), commercial products, print and merch | Stock sites, NFTs |
| Ultima | Everything, including resale, stock sites, NFTs and transfer of rights | — |

- **Attribution** isn't required on Pro and Ultima and is recommended on Basic and Standard.
- **General prohibitions** of the acceptable use policy apply on every plan.
- Clipia may use anonymized data to improve the service and may show works you publish in the public feed.
- License changes are announced 30 days in advance and don't apply retroactively.

The full text is in the [content license](/en/content-license).

## Privacy of your works

- **Works are private by default**: only you can see them.
- **A published work** appears in the feed and on your profile. When publishing, you can set a title and description and hide the prompt.
- **"Unpublish"** makes the work private again.

How Clipia processes personal data, how long it keeps it and how to delete your account is described in the [privacy policy](/en/privacy). For data questions, email privacy@clipia.ai.

## Troubleshooting

## Tips

- For commercial projects, check your plan against the rights table before you start: Basic doesn't allow advertising or selling.
- Avoid celebrity names and other people's trademarks in prompts — such requests are rejected more often and create risks for commercial use.
- If you're working with an image of a real person, get their written consent and keep it.
