Credits are Clipia's internal currency: every image, video or audio generation and every assistant message costs a set number of credits. Your subscription adds credits every month, you can top up with packs, and the price of any run is shown on the launch button before anything is charged.

<Callout type="info" title="Prices">
Prices are current as of October 2026. The exact cost is always shown on the launch button before you are charged.

## What a credit is

A credit is the unit you pay for generations with. The cost depends on the model and its settings: resolution, duration, number of variants and quality. A short 480p clip costs a few credits; a long high-resolution video costs dozens.

Every model is available on every plan. Your plan sets how many credits you get each month and what else the subscription includes; it never locks models.

Try it free — 5 credits when you sign up. That is enough, for example, for one 5-second 480p clip with Grok Imagine Video 1.5.

## How the price is quoted and charged

<Steps>
<Step>
### The price on the button

As you pick a model and settings, the service calculates the cost and shows it on the launch button. This is a quote, valid for 10 minutes. If you change the settings or wait longer, the price is recalculated automatically.

The "from N" label in the model list is a guide to the cheapest configuration. The exact price is on the launch button; guests see it after signing in.
</Step>

<Step>
### Hold at launch

When you launch, the credits are put on hold: your balance shows them as "processing", and they can't be used for other runs.
</Step>

<Step>
### Charge or refund

If the generation succeeds, the held credits are charged. If something goes wrong, the hold is released in full, automatically — no need to contact support.
</Step>
</Steps>

Credits come back when:

- the generation fails, including when the model refuses the request;
- the time limit is exceeded;
- the result could not be saved or did not pass the safety check;
- the job got stuck and was stopped.

A started generation can't be cancelled: once sent, the model is already working.

If moderation rejects your prompt before launch, no credits are held at all. More on this in [Content rules](/en/docs/product/rules).

## Spending order and credit lifetime

Subscription credits are used first, then purchased ones.

- **Subscription credits** last until the end of the paid period. Each renewal adds a fresh allowance; unused credits do not roll over. If the subscription expires, subscription credits are reset to zero.
- **Changing plans mid-period** doesn't burn credits: the remaining balance carries over to the new plan.
- **Purchased credits** (top-up packs) never expire, but you can only use them while you have an active subscription. Without one, the app shows a prompt to renew.

## Plans

| Plan | Per month | Credits per month |

| Basic | $10 | 240 |
| Standard | $19 | 480 |
| Pro | $39 | 960 |
| Ultima | $115 | 2,900 |

Annual billing is 20% cheaper than monthly; see the [pricing page](/en/tariffs) for full terms.

## What else a plan includes

| Plan | Concurrent generations | Storage | Usage rights |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| No subscription | 2 | 500 MB | — |
| Basic | 5 | 2 GB | personal, non-commercial use |
| Standard | 7 | 5 GB | plus social media, ads and websites |

For details on rights by plan, see [Content rules and usage rights](/en/docs/product/rules#usage-rights) and the [content license](/en/content-license).

## Top-up packs

If your subscription credits run out before the month ends, buy a pack. Packs are available to subscribers only; purchased credits never expire and are spent after your subscription credits.

| Pack | Credits | Price |
| --- | --- | --- |
| XS | 100 | $5 |
| S | 200 | $9 |
| M | 300 | $14 |
| L | 500 | $22 |
| XL | 1,000 | $42 |
| XXL | 2,000 | $79 |
| PRO | 10,000 | $389 |
| MAX | 20,000 | $749 |

You can buy a pack on the [pricing page](/en/tariffs) or the balance page. For how payment works, see [Payments and subscription](/en/docs/product/payments).

## Assistant and audio

- **Assistant**: without a subscription you get 100 messages a month; premium models require a subscription. A message usually costs 1–4 credits; if no reply comes back, nothing is charged. See [Assistant](/en/docs/product/assistant).
- **Audio**: the cost is rounded up to a whole credit. Listening to voice samples costs no credits. See [Audio Studio](/en/docs/studios/audio).

## Troubleshooting

<Accordions>
<Accordion title='Credits stay in "processing"'>
The hold is released when the generation finishes. If a job gets stuck, the system stops it and returns the credits on its own. Check [My works](/en/my-works) — the result may already be there.

Don't relaunch right away: check My works first. If the generation is running, a second launch will hold credits a second time.

## Tips

- Test an idea on cheap settings first — 480p, short duration, one variant — then run the final version in high quality.
- Watch the button: it always shows the final price for all the settings you chose.
- If you regularly run out of credits before the month ends, compare pack prices with the next plan up: a credit is usually cheaper on a bigger plan.
